This lovely Repeal the 8th street art has been spotted on a wall in Portugal
IT IS ALWAYS heartening to see encouragement from abroad for the Abortion Rights Campaign in Ireland. In the last couple of months there’s been huge support from organizations and individuals abroad. Even legendary American political activist Angela Davis has backed the movement.
Recently in Portugal, a really cool piece of street art by Polish-Irish artist, designer and print-maker Berriblue was installed. It has since been spotted by a number of Twitter users
As an artist who deals with themes of sexuality, religion, mental health and personal identity, it’s unsurprising that the Portugal based artists work would deal with the eighth amendment.
Back in January Berriblue designed these silk scarves (which have since sold out), to raise funds for the Abortion Rights Campaign:

Before the piece was installed in Porto, it was used in Portugal in solidarity with our March for Choice on the 24th of September.
